How to replace spectrum tubes

<p>Spectrum tubes that no longer light up can be swapped out in a few minutes. Follow the steps below in order.</p>

<h2>Parts you'll handle</h2>
<ol>
<li><strong>Arc rod or black nylon screw</strong> &ndash; in the center of the lid; holds the top assembly in place.</li>
<li><strong>White top lid</strong> &ndash; sits on top of the enclosure.</li>
<li><strong>Plexiglass hexagonal enclosure</strong> &ndash; the clear outer cover.</li>
<li><strong>Spectrum tubes</strong> &ndash; 12 labeled glass tubes, two of each gas.</li>
<li><strong>Tube carousel</strong> &ndash; the clear rings that hold the tubes around the coil.</li>
</ol>

<h2>What you'll need</h2>
<ul>
<li>Replacement spectrum tube (same gas as the one you're replacing)</li>
</ul>

<h2>Step 1: Power off the BioCharger</h2>
<ul>
<li>Flip the power switch on the back to <strong>OFF</strong>.</li>
<li>Unplug the unit from the wall for extra safety.</li>
</ul>

<h2>Step 2: Remove the Arc Rod or Nylon Screw</h2>
<ul>
<li>Unscrew the black nylon screw or the arc rod in the center of the lid.</li>
<li>Set it to the side.</li>
</ul>

<h2>Step 3: Remove the white top lid</h2>
<ul>
<li>Lift the white lid straight up and set it aside.</li>
</ul>

<h2>Step 4: Remove the plexiglass enclosure</h2>
<ul>
<li>Carefully lift the hexagonal plexiglass enclosure straight up and off.</li>
<li>Set it aside on a soft, flat surface.</li>
</ul>

<h2>Step 5: Remove the old tube</h2>
<ul>
<li>Find the tube that isn't lighting up and note the gas name on its label.</li>
<li>Gently lift the tube straight up out of the carousel.</li>
</ul>

<h2>Step 6: Install the new tube</h2>
<ul>
<li>Check that the new tube's label matches the gas you removed.</li>
<li>Lower it into the <strong>same spot</strong>, seated the same way the old one sat.</li>
</ul>

<h2>Step 7: Put the enclosure back</h2>
<ul>
<li>Lower the plexiglass enclosure back over the tubes and coil.</li>
<li>Make sure it sits evenly all the way around.</li>
</ul>

<h2>Step 8: Replace the white top lid</h2>
<ul>
<li>Lower the white top lid back into position.</li>
</ul>

<h2>Step 9: Reinstall the Arc Rod or Nylon Screw</h2>
<ul>
<li>Reinsert the black nylon screw or arc rod.</li>
<li>Tighten it snug. <strong>Don't over-tighten.</strong></li>
</ul>

<h2>Step 10: Final checks &amp; power on</h2>
<ul>
<li>Make sure everything is seated correctly.</li>
<li>Plug the BioCharger back in and switch it on.</li>
<li>Confirm the unit powers up normally and the new tube lights up.</li>
</ul>

<h2>Step 11: Clean up &amp; dispose</h2>
<ul>
<li>Dispose of the old tube safely. Treat it like broken glass.</li>
</ul>
