The Emergency Shut Off Button is the large red button on the front panel of your BioCharger.
The Emergency Shut Off Button is provided as a way to immediately stop a recipe if the need arises for any reason.
There are some things to know about the Emergency Shut Off Button:
1. If the Emergency Shut Off Button is engaged, the BioCharger will not power on from an off state. When you first receive and setup your BioCharger, the Emergency Shut Off Button is likely engaged. See item #5 below for how to disengage the Emergency Shut Off Button.
2. If you press the Emergency Shut Off Button while a recipe is running, it will immediately stop the recipe.
3. If you leave the Emergency Shut Off Button engaged, it will start the shutdown process and power off the computer inside of your BioCharger. The Emergency Shut Off Button does NOT remove power from the main power supply like the ON/OFF switch on the back of your BioCharger.
4. If you just want to stop the recipe, and you want to leave your BioCharger powered on, then press the Emergency Shut Off Button to stop the recipe. Wait for the “power fail detected” message and then quickly disengage the button.
5. To disengage the Emergency Shut Off Button, press the button down, turn clockwise and then release. The Emergency Shut Off Button should pop back up and your BioCharger should go in to the 5 minute cool down mode.
