Contraindications
Individuals with the following conditions or situations must remain 6 feet away from the BioCharger during operation:
- Medical implant devices with electronics that cannot be turned off or removed - e.g. cardiac pacemakers, defibrillators, insulin pumps, glucose monitors, spinal stimulators, and some types of hearing aid. The BioCharger can interfere with and even possibly damage the electronic components in these devices.
- Metallic plate/mesh/implant in the skull or in the heart (e.g. cardiac stent).
Passive metallic implants anywhere else - shoulder, hip, knee, dental, etc - are acceptable and have never presented any problems, but we prefer to err on the side of caution when it comes to the heart and brain.
- Metallic chemotherapy ports (plastic/synthetic ports are acceptable).
Individuals with plastic chemotherapy ports can safely use the BioCharger NG, but a person with a metal chemo port should stay back ~2 meters (6 feet). During infusion chemotherapy, the person should refrain from using the BioCharging the day of and the day after infusions. For daily oral chemotherapy , we recommend using the BioCharger 3 hours after taking the chemotherapy pill.
- Individuals with epilepsy or a photosensitive condition should wear a mask over their eyes or face away from the machine during operation, due to the flashing/strobing lights. Alternatively, the spectrum tubes could be removed entirely.
- There are no controlled, clinical studies with pregnant women, and we advise pregnant women do not use the BioCharger for that reason.
- There is no minimum age, but children under eighteen require adult supervision and we advise small children be positioned further away in the 3-6 foot (0.9-1.8 meters) range.
