# How to connect your BioCharger to a network using an Ethernet connection

An Ethernet cable is the easiest and most reliable way to connect your BioCharger to the internet. In addition, the Ethernet connection has the advantage of allowing you to be able to monitor the progress of a recipe running by using the browser on your computer or other connected device. To do this, log into your BioCharger myCloud Dashboard and click on the blue link next to the word Connected! in the upper right corner of the page.
To connect your BioCharger to your network using an Ethernet cable please follow the steps below.
1. Power down your BioCharger if it is not already powered down.
2. Plug in the Ethernet cable into the Ethernet port located on the back panel in the upper right corner when facing the back panel.
3. Plug the other end of the Ethernet cable into a open Ethernet port on your router or networking switch.
4. Power your BioCharger up and you will be connected to the internet automatically.
