If you are questioning if your tube is out of a gas then we recommend running the Default recipe in the dark. This recipe will light up all the tubes. There will be 3 brighter gases and 3 dimmer gases:
Bright: Neon, HE, HG/I
- These spectrum tubes will be bright during operation
Dim: Ar, Xe, Kr
- These spectrum tubes are relatively dim during operation
As long as there is light coming out, the tube is still working. When you don't see it lighting up at all then it is time to purchase a replacement.
To keep things simple, we advise to replace the tube only when completely expired (no light at all) - they don't need to be replaced all at the same time.
